Under the direction of Brent Stewart, Music Director of Orpheus Choir Wellington and one of New Zealand’s leading conductors, this performance promises to capture the full brilliance of Handel’s most beloved work. From the exuberance of Worthy is the Lamb to the powerful The Trumpet Shall Sound and the transcendent Hallelujah Chorus, Messiah is a musical journey that inspires and uplifts like no other.
Joining Brent is a stellar lineup of soloists. Emma Pearson, recognised for her captivating performances on international stages, brings brilliance and artistry. Mezzo-soprano Maaike Christie-Beekman adds depth and warmth with her rich, expressive voice. Rising tenor Lila LJ Crichton contributes freshness and flair, while Lexus Song Quest winner Joel Amosa grounds the quartet with his commanding bass.
