John Waters' 'Polyester' - Now in Odorama!
See it! Hear it! Smell it!

Wellington Film Society is proud to be screening John Waters' cult classic 'Polyester' as part of our 2025 programme, and even prouder to be showing it as intended - with Odorama scratch-and-sniff cards!

Featuring ten alarmingly-realistic smells, from roses to skunk spray, you'll be able to purchase your own Odorama card at the Embassy before the show starts.

Considered by many to be a perfect distillation of Waters’ style, 'Polyester' is a bad-taste melodramatic romp through suburban Baltimore and the breakdown of a family unit under the onslaught of over-stimulated modern America. It’s full of all the acerbic trimmings you’d expect from the Pope of Trash.

Like all Waters’ films, Polyester is best watched with a crowd – strong stomach and rowdy mood also recommended!
