Improv Week is back, with five shows performed by some of the Aotearoa's top improv troupes.
1) HAPPY HOUR
26 JUNE | 8PM
Whatever you ask for, we double it.
Joy, drama, tears, or laughter - Best on Taps’s Happy Hour pours spontaneous truth based improv using the vibe in the room as our starting point.
2)MICETRO
27 JUNE | 6.30PM
Beloved improv elimination competition Micetro is back for another bite of the cheese.
A crew of eager improvisers will again battle head to head using wit, spur-of-the-moment storytelling and risking everything for an the love of the audience.
3) WANNABE ACADEMY
27 JUNE | 8.30PM
Five hopeful popstars, but just three will make it through to join the band of the century!
Join Pōneke's premier improvisers for a night of marketable music, moving melodies and... media training.
4) MEET YOU OUTSIDE THE TUCK SHOP
28 JUNE | 6.30PM
Escape from the dreary grey skies of Wellington with a trip down nostalgia lane.
The funniest teens in town are ready to transport you back to the first day of school.
No script, no plan — just witty banter, chaotic energy, and core memories.
5) LATE NIGHT KNIFE FIGHT
28 JUNE | 8PM
Late Night Knife Fight is the monthly improv battle where three teams face off in a fight for glory, honour, and the audience's favour.
The winner returns in the headline spot next month; the losers wail and gnash their teeth.
