Our next workshop for NFPs couldn't be more timely - we'll be delving into the current state of New Zealand media, what it means for news generation, and how to get your story covered!
We'll be answering questions like:
• What does New Zealand’s media sector look like in 2025?
• How do I connect with media and journalists?
• Can I use media to reach the audiences I need to? And where are those audiences?
The session will also cover how to keep your organisation out of the media, and other direct-to-audience channels you can harness to generate interest and support for your organisation.
We’re excited to have Allanah Kalafatelis, Head of Communications and Research at NZ On Air, to lead the session. In her current role she has gained unique insights into the state of the media, and how to work with this under-resourced sector when you’re managing communications challenges.
Previously Allanah worked in a fast-paced communications role at the Commerce Commission. Her background is 20-plus years as a journalist.
