Gel Printing 101.3: Botanicals Class

Gel printing, or Gelli Printing is a mono printing technique using a flexible gel plate (often mineral oil/polymer-based) to create unique, textured art by rolling acrylic paint on it, adding textures with objects or stencils, and pressing paper onto the surface to lift the image. This accessible process allows for layering colours and textures to make backgrounds for mixed media, collage, or standalone art, with endless possibilities using found items like leaves, lace, or household objects. No experience is necessary to begin learning this art form.

This class covers terminology and techniques for this engaging printing process.

You’ll create and take home 20–30 unique handprinted pieces to frame or use in cardmaking, scrapbooking or collage projects.

$40 covers tuition and all tools and consumables needed for the session.
