This webinar will examine how AI may reshape engineering work and how we can respond thoughtfully and proactively.
As artificial intelligence begins to influence design, analysis, and decision-making in engineering, many in the profession are asking tough questions about what this means for the future of their roles, responsibilities, and professional identity. In this panel webinar, members of Engineering New Zealand’s AI Advisory Committee will explore the common fears and hopes engineers have expressed around AI adoption.
The discussion will focus on three central questions: What do engineers risk losing when AI handles core technical tasks? Will AI eliminate or evolve engineering roles and how do we prepare the next generation? And finally, can AI enhance productivity without undermining the sense of purpose that drives engineering practice?
This session is designed to foster open, thoughtful dialogue and help engineers better understand both the challenges and opportunities AI presents.
