Session will be run by Sophie Gairn, new Industry Development Manager at Destination Riverina Murray.
Sophie is a passionate and experienced professional from Tumbarumba in the Snowy Valleys. She holds a Bachelor of Business (Management) with Distinction and has spent the past six years working in local government across interface management, economic development, tourism, event management, community development, and contract-based roles that support regional initiatives.
In addition to her work, Sophie has her own part-time consultancy business, providing strategic support to local businesses and community projects. Her core strengths include a high attention to detail, strong organisational skills, proficient project management, and the ability to build collaborative stakeholder partnerships that deliver real outcomes. Sophie brings a strong community lens to her work, frequently volunteering her time and expertise to local organisations, and is committed to creating positive, sustainable impact in regional areas.
