Seedlings is a gentle, outdoor nature playgroup for children aged 0–6 years and their families, held in the beautiful natural surrounds of The Junction, Tumut.
Across this 8-week term, we’ll follow the seasonal rhythm of late summer into autumn, offering child-led play experiences that invite curiosity, creativity and connection.
Each Friday morning, the space is thoughtfully prepared with a range of play invitations. Children are free to wander between stations, follow their interests, or simply play freely within the site.

• Nature-based art and creative invitations
• Mud kitchen (always available)
• Sensory play inspired by the season
• Real tools and tinkering (hammering, woodworking, peelers, beginner whittling for ready children)
• Loose parts construction and shelter building
• Songs, rhymes and gentle nature stories
• Time to connect — with nature, with others, and with childhood

Seedlings is inspired by Forest School Philosophy and Waldorf/Steiner principles slow, rhythmic, and respectful of each child’s individual pace. Activities are invitations, not expectations.
