Jeremy Sawkins – guitar/bass Rose Eilert – piano/keyboards Jeremy Sawkins and Rose Eilert have been making music together since 2018, having
performed regularly in Sydney and on the South Coast in a range of venues. They share a love of jazz and improvised music and have developed a strong musical rapport since their first musical encounters. Their repertoire consists of jazz interpretations of music from The Great American Songbook (Gershwin, Cole Porter, Rodgers/ Hammerstein) as well as the significant jazz composers of the last century, embellished by some Brazilian bossa nova, some Bacharach, Benson and Wonder.
Rose and Jeremy have both taught music for many years.
Jeremy Sawkins
A member of the Australian music community since the late 1970’s as a performing guitarist, composer, bandleader and recording artist, Jeremy has shared the stage and recording studios with many notable musicians. Having performed all around Australia, he has also performed in Europe and Asia and is regarded as one of Australia’s most versatile jazz guitarists. Recent performances have seen Jeremy sharing the stage with such luminaries as
Sting and Dominic Miller, Katie Noonan, Wendy Matthews, Kristin Berardi, Melinda Schneider, Kate Miller-Heidke, Ella Hooper, Wanderlust (since 1996), Alma Orquestra and Glenn Shorrock among others. He recently performed at the 2023 Adelaide Guitar Festival with Paul Mason and James Muller in a tribute to the late Jeff Beck.

Rose Eilert
Rose is originally from Canberra, where she completed her music studies at the A.N.U. in the 1990’s. She has performed all over Australia in a broad range of musical styles and situations and spent many years living and working in India where she enjoyed the opportunity to perform with some of India’s finest jazz musicians (including India’s premier jazz guitarist Sanjay Divecha, santoor player Rahul Sharma and drummer Adrian D’souza) in a range of interesting musical situations. Since relocating to Australia, Rose has been performing regularly in Sydney and in the Illawarra/Shoalhaven area.
