MST: Bear Pen Gap to Haywood Gap

Experience a rewarding stretch of the Mountains-to-Sea Trail with guides Kathy and Vickey on this 5.6-mile out-and-back trek from Bear Pen Gap to Haywood Gap. This intermediate to advanced hike features about 400 feet of elevation gain, with some steep and rocky sections that add a bit of challenge along the way. You’ll encounter refreshing water seeps and varied terrain, so trekking poles are recommended to help steady your steps. Join us for a morning immersed in nature’s beauty and rugged Appalachian charm. Rating: B4
