Amy Lavere is the recipient of a best new artist award from the Americana Music Association. Her husband Will Sexton is one of the most sort after guitarists and a key songwriter himself. I first met Will when he was signed to MCA Records. Both he and his brother Charlie Sexton (Bob Dylan) had released albums through the label. So did Steve Earle. At that time, MCA also had a deal with I.R.S Records and signed R.E.M. I was working as a temp there to pay my rent
