I'd like to take a moment to introduce you to Carie Moore. Mother of three, grandmother to four, and friend to pretty much everyone the meets.
Carie was born with septal defect and coarcation of the aorta. She has undergone many procedures through her life in attempt to remedy these issues, and is drawing ever nearer to a replacement heart. Carie and her family make multiple trips to Nashville each week for treatments to prepare her for the transplant, and she will require a caregiver around the clock for three months once the transplant surgery is complete.
Every donation, every barbecue plate, every silent auction win, raffle ticket and cornhole bag thrown on Saturday, August 16th will go to help Carie with the expenses that mount along the way.
All are appreciated, large or small. Thoughts and prayers are also welcomed, this community has a lot of love to give.
