Understanding Contraceptives: Facts and Myths with Healthfirst

In this session you will learn about the many contraceptive methods that are available. Discussion will include how they work, their efficacy, and how to get gain access to them. Understanding how they work is important and learning what methods are available can help when making the decision which method is best for you. We will also visit some of the myths and misinformation that exist surrounding contraceptives and provide you with the facts.

About the Presenter: LeeAnn has worked in the medical field since high school , starting as a nursing assistant and progressing through various roles as she earned her degrees. She graduated with her associate in nursing from NTC, Bachelors of Nursing from UW-Oshkosh, Masters in Nursing from Capella University and her Post-Masters in Nursing Education from Walden University. LeeAnn has worked as a nurse in hospital and clinic settings as well as in academia with nursing and allied health students. Her current role is COO at Healthfirst. She oversees clinic operations and manages the clinic employees
