🎤Jerry Deschane, League of Wisconsin Municipalities Executive Director
Jerry Deschane joined the League in 2014 and serves as Executive Director. He is the fifth League Executive Director since the organization was founded in 1898. Working with the League board and staff, Jerry is responsible for engaging appointed and elected city and village officials in the state legislative process and for motivating state policymakers to support vibrant Wisconsin communities. Jerry is a longtime lobbyist and association executive with experience with the news media. He is also very familiar with governments and governance; currently serving on seven local, state and national boards, including a school board that he has chaired for seventeen years.

🎤Todd Schmidt, Village of Waunakee Administrator, and Kylie West, Village of Waunakee Executive Assistant

🎤Megan McBride, UniverCity Alliance Managing Director
I am excited to join the UniverCity Alliance as the managing director because I am passionate about local government and community engagement. This interest developed during my time at Northland College (located in Ashland, WI), from which I graduated with a dual bachelor’s degree in sustainable community development and sociology. While in school, I interned with the City of Ashland and worked as an undergraduate researcher with the Center for Rural Communities. Upon graduating, I served as the assistant city planner before becoming director of planning and development for almost four years. I then served as the grants administrator for Beloit, WI for approximately two and a half years. I look forward to applying my experience in local government to the important work that UCA does to support and empower communities.
