🌊 Adventure Awaits on the Peace River! 🦴🦈
Join us in Wauchula as we float down to Zolfo Springs for a prehistoric treasure hunt like no other! We’ll paddle, dig, and sift our way through the Peace River, Florida’s famous fossil hotspot. Even if your haul is “just” shark teeth, how cool is it that you’re finding ocean treasures in the middle of a freshwater river… in the middle of our state?!?
The water level is low so portage may be necessary in some lower spots but otherwise weather is going to be a “10”
🚣 Trip Details:
• Launch: 8:30AM from Crews Park
• Return: 3:00 PM to Pioneer Park
• Cost: $250 per person includes guide, kayak, all fossil hunting & safety gear
• $75 per kiddo <12
• $150 per person if you bring your own kayak, safety & fossil gear
• Bonus Seat: “Ride with a Guide” (with me!) for $125 - the catch - there’s only ONE spot available… once it’s claimed, it’s gone!
* Please note this is a 4.5 mile one way trip, carpooling is suggested as no shuttle service is available.

Looking for the BIG stuff? 🦴 You’ll need a fossil permit. Follow the link through our website under the “Fossil Hunting” tab. Then print, fill out, and mail it off with a $5 annual fee.
