Let’s all get together over this weekend in September to commemorate the first anniversary of the passing of our mate, the one and only, Peter Russell Collins.
We will be holding a fishing competition (Piss up/ Get Together) as well as taking the opportunity to raise a few dollars towards
Men’s Health Charity’s like, Beyond Blue & Black Dog Institute.
We will be kicking off the Fishing Competition at North Haven Boat Ramp at 12.00 PM on Friday 19th September (Get together for a beer and feed that night at Laurieton Hotel
with a weigh in/ Judging at 2 PM on Saturday the 20th of September also to be held at the Laurieton Hotel.
A charity Auction will be held at approximately 6.30pm with some great items up for grabs. Sporting memorabilia, Fishing gear, Kayak and more to come.
Anyone able to offer or source items for the charity auction please let me know as soon as possible. We can't have too many items.
Those not able to attend Friday, or arrive late can start any time prior to close of comp.
Several divisions, Beach, Shore, Boat, Inside & Outside classes.
Those that don’t fish need not worry, the town has plenty of great water holes to sit at and wait for the fishermen to arrive back.
Remember, this is purely about celebrating Pete’s life and all catching up to have a few beers and raising a few $$$ toward a couple of very important charities.
The Fishing is just a bonus (so will the great trophy).
At this stage there is a variety of accommodation available at both Caravan Parks and Motels, but they will book out quickly as it is the weekend prior to School Holidays.
We suggest that if you are keen to come to the best weekend away you will have all year, BOOK NOW to ensure you have a place to stay.
We all spoke about the importance of never forgetting our mate and how we are never going to forget him as well as making sure we never have to go through it again by supporting each other. This is our chance to back it up.
