Oconee Youth Playhouse stages Urinetown the Musical

Urinetown is set in a dystopian future where a 20-year drought has caused a severe water shortage. Private toilets are outlawed and people must pay to use the public toilets run by a megacorporation called Urine Good Company. The musical won Tony Awards for Best Book of a Musical and Best Score. Recommended for audiences middle school and older. If you appreciate dark humor and satire -- and a score that riffs on other Broadway musicals (like Les Miz) -- this is a show for you!
