n response to recent community feedback and ideas shared through a theater-wide poll, The Glen Theater is excited to introduce a new kind of programming experience with a special three-day showing of Learning You on January 23, 24, and 25. This screening reflects the theater’s commitment to listening to its audience and exploring films that spark connection, conversation, and meaning.
Learning You is a heartfelt, faith-based dramedy opening nationwide January 16, 2026. The film follows Ty, a struggling architect and father, who embarks on a Christmas road trip with his autistic son, Elijah, after the collapse of his marriage. Along the way, the pair confront fear, grief, and misunderstanding, guided by Elijah’s imaginary companion, Nook, a life-sized, talking bear who serves as both comic relief and a gentle conscience.
Inspired by real families raising children with special needs, Learning You shines a compassionate light on autism awareness, father-son bonding, faith, and the search for joy in unexpected places. The production made intentional efforts to include autistic individuals and authentic perspectives both on and off screen.
