WildLights is back! RSPB Old Moor nature reserve will once more be beautifully lit with giant wildlife sculptures and friendly puppets, plus smaller lanterns from family and community workshops, crafts and fire pits for 3 magical evenings at our nature reserve.
If you would like to get creative, book onto one of our family workshops to make a snail or squirrel lantern, or knit/ crochet stars for our community artwork.

Bring your torch and explore Old Moor after hours along paths lined with beautiful lanterns and artwork, enjoy crafts and activities as the sun sets before snuggling up round the campfires with a hot chocolate. Included in your WildLights ticket is reserve entry, parking and crafts and activities, though £1 donations for crafts would be much appreciated.
Our shop and café will likely be open for refreshments, times and catering offer to be confirmed, please check nearer the time.
All profits from our shop and café go to the RSPB's wildlife conservation work.

RSPB Old Moor is South Yorkshire’s best kept secret: a place to spot some wonderful nature, explore and discover with the kids or just walk around in peace and quiet. There’s lots to do as a family with our new sensory garden, our playground, wild play areas and pond dipping (Easter to October). Or, discover a hidden gem away from the hustle and bustle to enjoy nature and take a breather; you could even try our Natural Wellbeing trail. Stop off at the café for hot food, cake and enjoy a hot drink with a view on our balcony with stunning views across the reserve. Our shop sells a fantastic range of gifts for all ages, wrapping paper and cards and wildlife care products so you can create a nature haven in your own outdoor space and join us in giving nature a home.
Car parking is free.
Accessibility: Old Moor is on the Trans-Pennine Trail so is very accessible locally via foot or bike. Our paths are wheelchair and pushchair friendly and we have mobility scooters available to pre-book for your visit. We have accessible toilets and baby changing facilities. Dogs on a lead are welcome within the courtyard but we ask that they don't go inside buildings or onto the wider reserve. Thanks for your understanding.
Please note, the WildLights lanterns are an art installation and all stay on the ground- no lanterns are released at these events. WildLights will be postponed to the following weekend if snowfall/ice makes travel unsafe or there is a high windspeed. Tickets are NOT transferrable between event nights, unless you contact the reserve and get your tickets amended prior to the events. We reserve the right to turn people with a ticket for the wrong day away as events are likely to be at capacity.
