About the event

2025 IAA ANNUAL MEETING
The Annual Meeting of the Italian American Alliance will be held on Thursday, May 29, 2025 at 6:30 P.M. at the Sons and Daughters of Italy Hall, 520 Pleasant Street, Watertown, MA 02472. There is ample free parking.

The Italian American Alliance continues to grow and build on its many achievements, thanks to our dedicated members. Our mission is to protect and share our Italian heritage in America for our descendants and for all Americans.

We believe that all cultures are an integral part of America and deserve equal respect. Our Italian heritage, history, language, and culture are no exception. We affirm that Christopher Columbus is not only an historic Italian figure but a key figure in American and world history during the Age of Discovery. Any movement to erase our heritage—or any heritage—is an affront to our shared American ideals. Our answer is to educate, to inform, and to stand firm in the truth and value of our culture.

Please join us to connect with the Board of Directors and share your ideas on how we can continue to fulfill our mission. Our agenda features a guest speaker: Mark OneWolf Yancey

Mark OneWolf Yancey is Chihene N'de, The Red Paint People of the Apache Nation, (aka Chiricahua Apache) and is an associate board member of the Native American Guardian Association (NAGA).

Mark brings a unique and powerful perspective to our gathering. A proud veteran, he served in both the U.S. Navy and U.S. Army for a combined 12 years, beginning his service at the age of 17. Mark is the CEO and Owner of 1WolfPhotography, specializing in headshots and portraiture, and founder of Two Guns Tactical Academy, where he serves as Chief Firearms Instructor.

Mark holds a degree in Electronics and Photography and is a passionate educator. While in the Navy, he taught English as a Conversational Instructor and later worked at the University of Maryland’s Office of Education Policy, creating educational tools that bridge cultures and challenge stereotypes. His dedication to cultural education, identity, and truth aligns strongly with the mission of the Italian American Alliance.

Born and raised in the Washington, D.C. metro area, Mark is also a committed advocate for preserving and sharing Native American heritage. As he says:

“Through the understanding of the origins and history of words and their impact on our collective cultures, we owe it to society to share our experiences and fight against cancel culture.”

This year’s meeting promises to be inspiring, educational, and unifying—a true celebration of heritage and shared values.

Light refreshments will be served; cash bar.
