Nalbinding Development Workshop

Grow your nalbinding knowledge and discover how to do the Oslo stitch (and its ‘family’), a stitching technique that dates back to the pre-historical period. Explore the history of the technique from the earliest evidence through to its survival into 19th and 20th century Scandinavia. Begin a small project (a hat or a bag) that you can finish at home. No previous experience needed, however good for those who have done nalbinding before and wish to grow and develop their skills.

🏰 Learn stitches based on archaeological finds; basic loop, Coptic stitch, and York (Coppergate, based on the famous Viking-age sock found in York).
