This class will teach you the steps needed to transform your kitchen or bathroom cabinets. I will walk you thru the step-by-step process of painting cabinets like a pro. My goal is to inspire you to have the confidence to transform your kitchen or bath on a DIY budget.
Cost: $65 (all supplies included)
I will provide all the supplies needed in class:
- All Dixie Belle products will be supplied: cleaner, primer, paint and sealer.
- A cabinet door for you to paint
- Brushes, painting smocks etc.
You will learn:
- Things you should know when removing cabinets doors and drawer fronts
- Proper cleaning and prep before painting
- Why you usually don’t need to sand before painting
- Why primer is essential to prevent bleed through
- How to get a smooth finish when using chalk paint
- How to seal and protect your freshly painted cabinets
- Proper way to clean painted cabinets once painted and cured
I will also demonstrate advanced techniques such as decorative waxes, distressing and glazing.
You are welcome to bring snacks and beverages to class.
