Owls & Their Calls Live Bird Presentation

Attend the Friends of Waterbury Reservoir's Annual Meeting to learn about the Friends of Waterbury Reservoir's activities and meet live owls from VINS.

Announcing! Saturday November 1, at 1:00pm, at St. Leo's Hall in Waterbury, we will be sponsoring a visit from live owls!

This presentation by Vermont Institute of Natural Science (VINS) is suitable for all ages and is offered free to all members of our community.

Did you know that not all owls hoot? This program will include three live owls and a Powerpoint presentation with photos and audible sounds of our local owls. This first-hand encounter enables participants to understand the defining characteristics and adaptations for life as a nocturnal predator on the wing. Touchable artifacts and hands-on materials round out this special experience.
