Music in the Alley ft. Devonian Hot Club

TURNmusic and Blackback Pub are proud to once again host the Music in the Alley series. This is an opportunity to hear creative music in downtown Waterbury’s newly created Jack’s Alley on Stowe Street! Join your friends and neighbors on a summer Friday evenings for music, food by the Blackback Pub, and a wonderful community. Music in the Alley is one of those unique experiences that make Waterbury great!

The Devonian Hot Club plays the music of Django Reindhardt & Stephane Grappelli. Django's jazz was born from the marriage of Louis Armstrong's trumpet with the anguished sound of Romany violin and the fire of flamenco guitar. Created amidst the glamour of the Jazz Age in Paris and reaching a peak during the horrors of World War II. Django's jazz also called Swing Manouche gave a voice to a dispossessed people.
