Join us for the Annual Musher Sign Up and Volunteer Appreciation Picnic on June 28, 2025, celebrating the spirit and dedication behind the Iditarod Trail Sled Dog Race! This exciting event will bring together mushers, volunteers, and fans in a fun, festive atmosphere to kick off the countdown to the 2025 Iditarod.
At this picnic, mushers will officially sign up for the race, marking the beginning of their journey towards the historic race in March. It’s also a special occasion to honor the incredible volunteers who make the Iditarod possible year after year. Enjoy a day filled with delicious food, live entertainment, games, and the opportunity to meet the heroes of the Iditarod—both the mushers and the volunteers.
This is a family-friendly event, open to all Iditarod supporters, offering a chance to learn more about the race, ask questions, and celebrate the tradition of Alaska’s most iconic sporting event. Whether you're a longtime fan or a first-time attendee, the Musher Sign Up and Volunteer Appreciation Picnic promises an unforgettable day of community and adventure.
We will be grilling salmon and burgers and have plenty of other picnic fare for you and your family. We will have door prizes, 2025 Summer Raffle, two free race entry giveaways, summer cart rides with Riley and so much more!
