Event Description:

Join Words Beats and Life for an inspiring evening at the Spring Academy Showcase & Apprentice Induction Ceremony! This special event celebrates the incredible talent and creativity of our students, highlighting their artistic growth and achievements across music, spoken word, visual arts, and more.

Experience powerful performances, dynamic presentations, and captivating projects developed by students in our WBL Academy programs—spanning elementary through high school. This is more than just a showcase; it’s a moment to honor the next generation of creatives.

The evening will also feature our Spring Apprentice Induction, celebrating the students officially joining our apprentice legacy. This milestone marks the start of an exciting journey, equipping young artists with the tools, mentorship, and real-world experience they need to thrive.

Through this showcase, students will have the opportunity to share their work with the community, gain real-world performance experience, and connect with peers and mentors. We invite all our parents, partners, and community members to come celebrate and support the next generation of artists and leaders!

Located on the same block as the U Street / Cardozo metro exit (green / yellow line)

Parking Information:

Street parking is available in the surrounding area of 12th and U Streets, subject to availability. However, we typically recommend that attendees utilize public transportation or rideshare services such as Metro, Lyft, or Uber.

If driving is necessary, the nearest parking garage is located at One Parking Garage at Union Row, situated between 13th & V St. and 14th & V St. NW, at 2125 14th St. NW, Washington, DC 20009 (right off the alley on V St.).

2. Hours of Operation: Monday – Sunday, 7 AM – 11 PM
3. No ins and outs on daily tickets.

Bike Storage:

Please note that the True Reformer Building does not offer bike storage inside the building. Bikes cannot be stored inside under any circumstances—there are no exceptions to this rule.
