Washington DC Bicycling Advocates Social

Please join WABA for our next Washington DC bicycling advocates meetup, on Wednesday, August 20, 2025, 5:30–7 pm at Nanny O’Brien's, 3319 Connecticut Avenue NW in Cleveland Park. This will be an informal social event. Come by any time, but please register so that we know you're coming.

This Ward 3 meetup will be the fourth of a series of 2025 social events around the city. We have a lot to discuss including the city’s terrible recent decision to remove Arizona Ave. NW protected bike lanes. But there are also opportunities, in particular connected to the DDOT’s Strategic Bikeways Plan, which could provide an opening to put Connecticut Ave. NW bike lanes back on the table. In the nearer term, we’ll work to advance Ward 3 projects including the Arizona Avenue to Capital Crescent Trail connection and the creation of two-way protected bicycle lanes on Western Avenue NW, and there are signs of progress on the Arizona Avenue NW Pedestrian Bridge and Connecting Trail reconstruction and rehabilitation project.

But the primary aim of this social meetup is to get together with other cyclists and talk about the joy of cycling!
