Walk for Suicide Loss & Awareness at Daviess Community Hospital
Saturday, September 27, 2025 | 6–8 p.m. | 1314 E. Walnut St., Washington, IN
Every September, communities across the country unite to raise awareness for suicide prevention. Daviess Community Hospital is proud to host the first Walk for Suicide Loss & Awareness on Saturday, September 27, from 6 to 8 p.m. on our Washington campus.
This free event is open to everyone—whether you’ve experienced loss, want to support a loved one, or simply believe in building a stronger, more compassionate community. Participants will walk together on a gentle path around the hospital campus, lighting up the night with free glow sticks in memory and hope.
Highlights include:
• A supportive, non-competitive walk for all ages and abilities
• Remembrance ribbons and tribute displays to honor loved ones
• A vendor fair connecting local resources and organizations
• Free glow sticks for all participants
• Opportunities to connect, heal, and break the silence around suicide
Register for a commemorative t-shirt for $25 per person by 4 p.m. Friday, September 12, at givebutter.com/dchwalk.
Vendor spaces are available for $30 at givebutter.com/dchwalk.
Sponsorships begin at $100, with meaningful recognition for your support.
“This event is about hope, connection, and healing,” says Angie Steiner, DCH Foundation Director. “Whether you walk in memory or in support, you help bring our community together.”
