Sunday Skate - Ballston N' Back

Sunday morning, while the city is still waking up, #WAR will be gathering at Freedom Plaza, preparing for a perfect Sunday skate led by Chris!

The skate begins at 10:00 as we head toward and through the Georgetown, leading to a crossing over the Francis Scott Key Bridge into Rosslyn.

Expect a short, steep climb into Arlington. From there, we'll skate through the urban landscape straight into Ballston.

The return takes us down 15th street, with a planned stop at the Marine Corps Memorial near Arlington Cemetery. The 15th/14th street hill offers a consistent downhill roll on smooth asphalt, ending with a brief steeper section before we cross a bridge over Arlington Blvd.

Post-memorial, we'll connect with the Mount Vernon Trail and skate back to Freedom Plaza via the 14th street bridge.
