Roller Skating Lessons in Washington DC (Beginner and Intermediate)

Rental skates will not be supplied for the lessons, please be prepared to bring your own skates.

Location and Arrival Time:

Lessons will take place at Anacostia Park Skate Pavillion (1500 Anacostia Drive, Washington, DC 20020) . Please try to arrive 15 minutes before your session start time, this will allow ample time to switch into your skates and warm up time, if necessary.

Checking In:

Upon arrival please display your QR code or ticket pdf (no need to print it out) to the instructor as your method of signing in

What to Expect:

In groups of up 6 participants, our sessions offer a blend of personal attention and group dynamics, making learning both effective and socially enjoyable. Each lesson follows a structured plan, covering the basics such as balancing and stopping, progressing to more complex techniques like pivoting and backward skating. With a focus on safety, fun, and community, our experienced instructor ensures that every skater receives the guidance they need while fostering a fun, supportive atmosphere.

Inclement Weather Policy and Refunds:

Due to the outdoor nature of our rollerskating lessons, weather conditions play a significant role in the scheduling of our sessions. In the event of inclement weather, such as heavy rain, thunderstorms, or extreme heat, lessons may need to be postponed or canceled for the safety of all participants and staff. You will recieve an email notification at least 3 hours in advance for cancellations due to inclement weather and you can request a refund or credit that payment toward a different session.

Liability Disclaimer:

By participating in these rollerskating lessons, you acknowledge and accept the inherent risks associated with rollerskating. While we strive to provide a safe and enjoyable environment, rollerskating can result in serious injury. By purchasing this tickey, you agree to the following terms and conditions:

1. Assumption of Risk: You understand that rollerskating involves risks that may lead to physical injury, including but not limited to bruises, cuts, serious injuries to bones, joints, and muscles, or even more severe conditions. You are voluntarily participating in these activities with knowledge of the danger involved, and you agree to accept any and all risks of injury.
2. Waiver and Release: You hereby release, waive, discharge, and covenant not to sue , its officers, instructors, agents, or employees (hereinafter referred to as "Releasees") from any and all liability, claims, demands, actions, and causes of action whatsoever arising out of or related to any loss, damage, or injury, including death, that may be sustained by you, or to any property belonging to you, while participating in such activity, or while on or upon the premises where the activity is being conducted.
3. Indemnity: You also agree to indemnify and hold harmless the Releasees from any loss, liability, damage, or costs they may incur due to your participation in said activity, whether caused by the negligence of the Releasees or otherwise.
4. Medical Permission: In the event of an injury, you give permission for the instructor to seek emergency medical treatment for you. You agree to be financially responsible for any medical bills incurred as a result of seeking medical care.
5. Acknowledgment of Understanding: You have read this waiver of liability, fully understand its terms, and understand that you are giving up substantial rights, including your right to sue. You acknowledge that you are purchasing this ticket freely and voluntarily, and it will serve as your signature to be a complete and unconditional release of all liability to the greatest extent allowed by law.
