Le Petit Tambour de Lafayette / Lafayette’s Young Drummer

This captivating play, performed by a talented group of young actors (from 12 to 18 years old), explores the life of the legendary Marquis de Lafayette during the American Revolutionary War. From the battlefields of America to the dazzling Château de Versailles, you'll follow the exploits of the Marquis and his young drummer, and take part in the great adventure that forged the friendship between France and the United States.

This program is part of our Bicentennial celebration of the Marquis de Lafayette's farewell tour.

La Fondation de Chambrun-La Fayette, reconnue d'utilité publique depuis 1959, a pour objet de conserver, restaurer et entretenir le château du général La Fayette, dit château de Lagrange, de classer, compléter et mettre en valeur les archives du général et de sa famille et, plus généralement, de faire connaître la personnalité, la vie et les idées de Lafayette, qui a consacré sa vie à la défense de l'idéal démocratique.

The Richard Loundbery Foundation was founded in 1959, with a goal to enhance national strengths in science and technology and foster strong French-American cooperation. To this day, the Foundation has stayed true to its roots while expanding to promote science among youth and to support components of US policy issues pertaining to science.
