FREE "JULY 4TH" 🤠 COUNTRY DANCING EVENT🧨OPEN TO THE PUBLIC!!! 🎇

Join us from 4:00-7:00 pm before fireworks in the beautiful lobby of the historic Omni Shoreham Hotel, located at 2500 Calvert St. NW (1 block from the Woodley Park metro).

A live country band will play all styles of Country/Western dance music plus we'll include some of our favorite DC Rawhides line dances during the half-hour breaks. Bring your non-dancing friends & family members bc we'll do some quick 2-step tutorials and teach a few of the easier line dances for newcomers ("Boots", I Don't Like it; I Love It, maybe Mambo Shuffle)
If you have some time off on Sat & can make it, include your choices for line dances and we'll fit as many in as possible (and BRING YOUR FANS for 'Boots On The Ground'!! 😆🤠 🌈)
Before, after and if u want to take a break during, the hotel is on ten of some of the most beautifully landscaped acres in the city to enjoy. It's an iconic property that hosted every Presidential Inaugural Ball since it's opening in 1930 up until the new Convention Center.

On it's original historic stage, iconic artists performed here, including Sunny & Cher, Satchmo (Louis Armstrong 🥰), The Beatles, Gladys Night and many more.

The hotel was renovated to it's original splendor at the cost of $80 million dollars in 2000 and again in 2024 at $12 million for guest rooms and other details.
