Child+Adult - Get to Know Your Sewing Machine

Child/Adult Sew Together Workshop! 🧵 🪡

Would your child like to learn how to use a sewing machine? I get asked this so often and now I am pleased to say I can start offering some classes at Fabriques in Washington.

2-hrs of getting to know what the compartments/dials/tensions are, how to thread it including bobbin threading, using various stitches, straight and curved stitches, basic seams and if we have time we can make a little pouch or headband.

Cost for the 2-hrs is £30 with a max of 4 children - a parent or relative MUST also accompany the child and take part too! It will be a fun and great experience for all.

Free parking and refreshments available. This workshop is suitable for ages 9-16yrs old.

50% non-refundable deposit payable at time of booking and balance due 2-weeks before the workshop.

You will need to bring your working sewing machine and thread - I will provide scrap fabric for you to practice with. If you don’t have a machine just ask me as I can bring a spare for you to use.
