CAN I KICK IT? presents "Monkey Man"

The CAN I KICK IT? monthly movie series at Songbyrd Music House continues on Tuesday, August 26th with a screening of the one of the best martial arts movies in recent years, Monkey Man (starring and directed by Dev Patel). DJ 2-Tone Jones will be providing a mix of hip hop and more to score the film live, scene-by-scene.

Doors open at 7p and the film will kick off at 7:30p. Food and drink specials will be available, plus the Shaolin Jazz merch table will be on hand with apparel items and more.

About Monkey Man

A young man ekes out a meager living in an underground fight club where, night after night, wearing a gorilla mask, he's beaten bloody by more popular fighters for cash. After years of suppressed rage, he discovers a way to infiltrate the enclave of the city's sinister elite. As his childhood trauma boils over, his mysteriously scarred hands unleash an explosive campaign of retribution to settle the score with the men who took everything from him.
