CAN I KICK IT? East of the River: “The Last Dragon"

This summer Shaolin Jazz is bringing their award-winning CAN I KICK IT? outdoor movie experience East of the River for the first time ever for a 3-night series!The series continues on Saturday, September 20 at Skyland Town Center for a block party-style screening of the cult classic 80’s film The Last Dragon (PG-13), starring Taimak and Vanity.

The festivities will kick off with a pop-up marketplace featuring a selection of fashion and vinyl record vendors curated by Nubian Hueman and the Crate Convention. While shopping you can enjoy some musical vibes by DJ 2-Tone Jones and friends. Then at 8:30pm the feature film will begin.The event is free for all ages and will take place on Town Center Drive SE (in front of Trek Bicycle).

It is strongly encouraged for you to bring your own lawn chairs or blankets. There are a wide variety of food options available at the Town Center.

CIKI? is a unique film experience presented by Shaolin Jazz that caters to lovers of action flicks, music and everything else in between. At each event cult-classic and contemporary martial arts/action films are scored live (scene-by-scene) with a blend of Hip-Hop, Soul, Rock and more mixed by DJ 2-Tone Jones. Since 2013 over 150 different film titles have been screened at CIKI? events that have taken place at notable institutions, venues and festivals across the map including the Lincoln Center (NY), the Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts, Smithsonian National Gallery of Art, SXSW Festival (Austin), Oakland Museum of California, Toronto Comic Arts Festival, FanX Salt Lake Comic Con and more.
