Be Your Own Super Hero Kids Mental Health Workshop at the Barn!

Kids ages 7-14 are invited to a small group workshop at the barn. This workshop is being provided by Maribeth Flake, a licensed counselor, in partnership with her therapy horse Dallas. Maribeth specializes in children and adolescents, previously working in schools, home based therapy, children psychiatric unit settings and with various children & families in an outpatient mental health setting. Maribeth also offers Equine Facilitated Psychotherapy, a fancy word for mental health therapy with a horse included!

The goals of the workshop include improving your child's self esteem and mental health skills. This is an overview of mental health tools with hands on experience with a therapy horse. This is provided at the barn. Hands on experience is not guaranteed if individuals are unable to follow rules and be safe. Parents must stay onsite during workshop.

Participants will receive water and a snack. Participants will also receive take home mental health resources. Workshop is from 2-4:30pm in Washington Twp. The workshop fee is $75 per person and space is limited to provide a small group experience.

Wear comfy shoes that you do not mind getting dirty and dress appropriately for the weather. There is covered indoor space if weather does not permit outdoor use.
