About this Event

Hope Ramafalo, also known by her stage name King Maestro, is a South African dancer, choreographer, and rising music artist born in Pretoria around April 1997. From a young age, she was drawn to music and dance, although it wasn’t always seen as a viable career path. She began her professional journey as a fitness trainer, where she incorporated dance into her workout routines. During the COVID-19 lockdowns, Hope started posting dance tutorials on social media, particularly on TikTok, where her amapiano choreography quickly went viral.

Her online success led to major opportunities, including starring in the dance film Masuper, working as a stunt double on Netflix’s Jiva, and representing South Africa at the Red Bull Dance Your Style competition in 2022. She became known for creating and popularizing viral dance challenges such as Hamba Ha, uMkhukhu (MKK), and Zula ka Strata. Her contributions earned her several awards, including Best Amapiano Street Dancer at the South African Amapiano Awards and Social Media Personality of the Year at the 2024 Feather Awards.

Hope has also ventured into music, debuting with her single “Ingozi” in 2024 and collaborating with artists like Hlogi Mash and Siko Wa Mmino on songs like “Dlala Ka Yona.” Her track “Areyeng” became a trending TikTok sound. In 2025, she is scheduled to perform internationally at major events, including the BeAfrika Amps Afro dance camp in Montpellier, France, and shows across Amsterdam, Spain, Paris, and the United States, with performances in Seattle and appearances at MTV/Nickelodeon studios in Los Angeles.

Passionate about representation and authenticity, Hope is a proud advocate for the LGBTQI+ community and often speaks about how dance gave her purpose. She aims to open a dance studio to mentor young talent and uplift underserved communities. Known for her energetic style, creativity, and resilience, Hope Ramafalo continues to inspire many through her work in dance, music, and social impact.Email: SW5mbyB8IGFtYXBpYW5vZG12ICEgY29t for more questions
