This page is your official source for all updates on the 2025 DC Container Load-In. This event is being led by Bardia, with support from Darrell (Camp Contact), Ariel (event coordinator), and our DC Regional Contacts (Marky, Joy, and Max). This event is part of the DC Burners Container program, which is a program of the newly-created DC Burner nonprofit.
EVENT DETAILS:
Join us the first weekend of August for one of the DC burner community’s favorite annual traditions: the DC Container Load-In.
Once again, our dusty crew is coming together for the magical pre-playa ritual of packing up tents, outfits, art, bumblebee bins, hopes, and dreams into a big metal box—and sending it from the heart of DC to that thing we call home.
This isn’t just a gear drop-off—it’s a WORK PARTY in true burner style! Alongside the container-packing action, we’ll have music, a burner gear & garb swap, and plenty of chances to connect with fellow DC burners heading to the dust. (If you have ideas of activities you want to host or set up, please reach out - we have plenty of room and want this to truly be a COMMUNITY event!)
Everyone is welcome—whether you’re shipping items with us or not; heading to Burn or taking the year off, or simply just burner-curious. This is a great chance to meet the local DC community, learn about packing and logistics, and just soak up the vibes.
We have a HUGE need for volunteers to make this event happen. From working the registration table, to DJing, to fluffers, to loaders, to bike wizards... this event description will be updated with more details about volunteer needs and how to sign up shortly.
