Oakland Beach Walk

Learn about green infrastructure, coastal resilience, and stormwater management at Oakland Beach in Warwick. On August 13th at 5 pm, Warwick city staff and coastal specialists from University of Rhode Island (URI), Coastal Resources Management Council (CRMC), and Save The Bay will lead a walk around the area to show recent changes to improve infrastructure. We will walk from Oakland Beach to Sunset Beach to see and discuss some of these projects. Speakers include Janet Freedman, former coastal geologist for CRMC and senior fellow at URI Coastal Institute, and Wenley Ferguson, restoration specialist with Save The Bay.
