Topic A / City of Przemyśl
Przemyśl is one of the oldest cities in Poland–located at the crossroads of cultures, in the San River valley, on hills that have looked eastward for centuries. The history of this place spans over a thousand years, and its identity is shaped not only by great historical events but also by the everyday lives of its inhabitants, interwoven with the silence of old streets, architecture, and stories passed down from generation to generation. Przemyśl holds a heritage that deserves to be rediscovered. The city is renowned for its tradition of pipe and bell making, and its landscape is adorned with fortifications, Orthodox churches, Catholic churches, and wooden villas from the Austro-Hungarian era.

Topic B / River for Life
Since the dawn of history, rivers have attracted people, becoming places of settlement, sources of life, memory, and transience. Their banks have served as spaces for daily walks, gatherings, and recreation, but have also witnessed neglect, pollution, and forgetfulness. A river fulfills many roles—practical, social, and symbolic—integrating local communities and setting the rhythm of urban life. Along rivers, promenades, bridges, and riverbanks develop; cafés, recreational areas, sports fields, and open-air event spaces emerge. They provide a natural backdrop for social gatherings, family strolls, and moments of respite. Just like the San River, along which the city of Przemyśl is located, rivers continuously shape the urban landscape and the identity of its inhabitants
