He has also illustrated several book covers and a couple of posters for long-running works in the fantasy genre (Tolkien and Lloyd Alexander). His work for Dungeons & Dragons includes covers for the adventures of Die Vecna Die! and Into the Dragon's Lair. He is considered one of the icons of fantasy painting with strong ties to the world of battle games. His are distinguished by vivid colors, contrast and a wide range of subject matter and characters.
