This week is all about different ways you can create with a laser cutter. Whether it's jewellery or artwork, we will look at various ways of how to convert your ideas into reality.
Day 1 - We will look at how to design for the laser cutter and how to set up your files. Using drawings, photographs, or digital files as your starting point.
Day 2 - whether your designs are 2d or 3d, we'll work in card, we'll try out some of your designs on the laser cutter to see how they look and how to develop them further.
Day 3 - We'll start to make your designs in wood, card, acrylic or whatever suitable material you choose.
Day 4 - If you've created jewellery, we'll finish off the collection you've made in the jewellery workshop, or if you've created art pieces you'll finish off your collection.
You will need to have some basic computer knowledge to attend this workshop. You will also need to bring a laptop with you, so that you can create your own designs. We will be using Lightburn throughout the week. If you intend to continue working with a laser cutter then it is recommended that you purchase a licence for Lightburn.

There is a selection of tea & coffee, both normal and decaf and a couple of fruit teas. We've also got a bit of cake stash going on too for you to help yourselves to throughout the day.
For lunch you might want to treat yourself at the lovely cafe, Quench & Pickle, which is right next door to the workshop, otherwise please bring your own packed lunch, or there are a variety of shops nearby.
