** PLEASE DON’T ASK A QUESTION UNLESS YOU HAVE READ THE CONTENT BELOW **
THIS IS AN ADVENTURE STYLE RIDE. No single track, no two track, all bike sizes can ride this route. Pavement/ Gravel/ Water Crossings/ Bad Gas Station Food.
WEATHER DEPENDENT - I will cancel this ride if the temps at meet-up time are less than 32F, a concern for rain/snow with temps under 38F as ice can form, or if we have had any ice or snow in the week leading up to the event. PLEASE keep an eye on the "DISCUSSION" tab for changes in details or event statuses.
1.) TIME: A 5 min Rider Meeting / Group Rides Instructions will be held at 10:00 am and Kick Stands Up / Depart at 10:10 am from the Fast Lane gas station in Warrenton, MO at I-70. This link is directly to the place via google maps.

Plan on 5 hours for ride and stop - approx. We will LEAVE AT 10:10am. Finish time between 2:30pm & 3:00pm. If you have questions you would like to ask before the ride - please arrive early or text me.
2.) ROUTE: The goal is to leave Warrenton and ride Schuetzenground/Charrette Creek, Dry Creek, Lost Creek, Massass Creek to Jonesburg. You can either turn around and do it in reverse, or head home from there.
3.) FOOD- Bring some snacks and drinks as we will not be stopping for lunch as we will be starting so late. You can grab food in Warrenton or in Jonesburg.
4.) WATER CROSSINGS - This route has several water crossings that can be anywhere from bone dry to mid-calf high. So plan on there being water in the creeks. On every ride someone ends up getting splashed, or putting a foot down into the water and getting their boot / foot wet as the water goes over the top of that Gortex boot. So far no one has fallen in the creek - but many have slipped on the low water crossings and lost balance causing wet clothing or a banged up knee / wrist. Please bring some extra clothes/socks in a waterproof bag for you to change into if the unfortunate happens to you - or you end up helping someone out of the water and get wet yourself. It can be a long way home, and very cold.
5.) LENGTH - The route takes around 3 hours depending on the pace and the frequency of stops for snacks or downed bikes. Feel free to quit early or leave the group at any time - but please let someone know if you split early.
6.) PARKING - In the past we have found the parking lot in Warrenton by Rural King / Ashley Furniture (the old outlet mall parking lot @ 38.818174, -91.166144 I personally plan to trailer over and park in Warrenton.
7.) GEAR / EXPECTATIONS - You will be asked to leave if you don't have shoes that protect your ankles, riding gloves that protect your hands, and at least a 3/4 helmet. The rest of your gear is a personal choice and risk - but please don't ruin our day because you don't want to wear protective gear. If you need some gear and can't afford it - reach out and we will most likely be able to find someone with extra pants or a jacket they would share with you for the ride.
I don't care what bike you ride as long as it can go 55 mph and is street legal.
Remember there are creek crossings and highways - so make sure your tires can handle both.
Lastly - DO NOT show up if you haven't made sure your bike is reliable and maintained. We will help anyone who needs help due to an accident, mishap, or unfortunate circumstance - but if it is clearly the result of poor maintenance or the result of being unprepared based on what I have outlined above - you will not be invited back. I will not tolerate this shit anymore.
8.) RISK - if you show up - you understand and agree to the following: a.)This is an "at your own risk" event. b.) you are responsible for abiding by all federal, state, and local laws. c.) you are here to spend time with and/or make new friends - and not as part of an official "event" despite the Facebook title. d.) you will hold no other rider in the group responsible for your actions.
9.) QUESTIONS: Text/ Call me if you have any questions. We will not wait to depart, but you can connect with us and I am happy to share my location via if you need. My number is (314) 520-0605 ~ Steve
