The Summer Chorus of Rhode Island and Southeast Massachusetts presents “Music for a Summer’s Night.” They will be performing two annual concerts on Friday, August 15th at 7:00 PM at St. Mary of the Bay Church, 645 Main St., Warren RI, and Saturday, August 16th at 7:00 PM at St. Thomas More Parish, 386 Luther Ave., Somerset, MA.
The concert program will include “O Fortuna” from Carl Orff’s Carmina Burana, “Cinemania”, a medley of Hollywood movie blockbusters, Joni Mitchell’s “Both Sides Now”, "Hallelujah” from Shrek, “When You Believe” from The Price of Egypt, a spiritual folk song, “Down by the Riverside”, a “Fiddler on the Roof Medley”, and many more. Please join us for a night of music and fun. Directed by Frank Wilhelm and accompanied by Erik Thompson, the Summer Chorus has over 75 members from Southeastern MA and throughout RI.
The Summer Chorus of RI and SE MA is a non-auditioned, fun summer chorus open to all singers in Rhode Island and Southeastern Massachusetts. It is a 501c3 non-profit organization aimed toward promoting the love and enjoyment of music for its members and audience.
