Celebrating a Century of Charlie Chan: The Chinese-Hawaiian Detective Made in Ohio at Warren Library

Celebrate the 100th anniversary of the creation of Detective Charlie Chan of the Honolulu Police by Warren, Ohio, author Earl Derr Biggers.

Members of the Charlie Chan Family Home website will host a panel discussion. Guest panelists will include:

--Rush Glick, Webmaster of The Charlie Chan Family Home, will speak on Detective Charlie Chan’s transition from the novels to the silver screen.
--Lou Armagno, an author and Webmaster at The Postman on Holiday, will talk of the aphorisms of Charlie Chan.
--Dr. Michael Votta, Jr., Interim Director of the School of Music at the University of Maryland, will speak about the music melodies in the Charlie Chan films.

An audience question and answer session will follow the panel discussion.
