RAID Event 2026 - A Picnic like no other.

📍 Somewhere on Lake Macquarie (revealed the day before)
Hoist your sails, sharpen your appetites, and prepare your tastebuds for The Feast! A floating(ish) gathering of boats, food, and extremely questionable culinary decisions.
How it works:
On Friday the 16th, the organiser will reveal a mystery location somewhere on the glorious waters of Lake Macquarie. Think of it like a treasure hunt, except the treasure is carbs.
Everyone attending brings one favourite food and one favourite drink to share. Be as fancy or feral as you like:
• A bachelor’s handbag (hot chook + buns, the true Aussie grazing platter)
• A glorious charcuterie board (that’s the fancy meat-and-cheese thing you were thinking of)
• A giant loaf hollowed and stuffed with deliciousness — a cob loaf dip, that’s the one!
• Or even a steaming bowl of Deb Potato with onion if you’re out to test the limits of friendship and digestion.
• Don’t use my ideas, bring what you love and share it with the others on the day. Prepare your favourite food and drink and make enough for others to try.
What to expect:
At the secret location you’ll find:
• A table (probably not level, but we try)
• Cups, picnic blankets, and enough good vibes to calm a nor’easter
• Friends, new friends, and that one bloke who always arrives with something surprising in a thermos
Stay for the afternoon. Stay for the night. Sail home under the stars or just tie off somewhere and pretend it’s all part of the plan. We’re easy.

You, as Captain of your vessel, are responsible for your boat, your crew, and your choices on the day. Navigate, anchor, and consume responsibly. VHF Channel 72.
