Crafty Communicators is a hands-on, creative group program designed to help children explore their creativity while building communication, language, and social confidence.
Through a range of season-themed craft activities, children will be encouraged to connect with peers, share ideas, and use language in meaningful, playful ways. Supported by our experienced speech pathologists, participants will work together on fun projects that inspire imagination and self-expression, all while practising important communication and language skills.
Whether it’s cutting, gluing, colouring, or creating, every activity provides a chance for children to communicate, collaborate, and celebrate their achievements.
This program is NDIS approved and will help your child develop the following skills:
-Vocabulary and sentence construction – learning and using new words in conversation and craft-based activities.
-Listening and comprehension – following multi-step instructions and responding to verbal guidance.
-Fine motor and literacy skills – building hand strength, coordination, and confidence in cutting, pasting and drawing.
-Social communication – working collaboratively, sharing materials, and expressing ideas.
-Self-advocacy skills – communicating needs, problem-solving, and asking for help.
Each creative activity provides a platform for growth, helping children develop language, confidence, and connection in a supportive and engaging environment.
