Back as a one-off in honour of Winter Wonderfest from the Whanganui Women's Network, let's dance in the dark!
Hosted at St Andrew's Hall, Dance In The Dark is a 60-minute event designed to create an environment where you can feel free to move! Under the cover of darkness, you can let your cares go and allow the music to shake, twirl, jiggle, skip, and spin you to your heart's content.
How's this different to a bar or club you say? Because it's sober. We want to both create a safe and conscious space, and also support people to lean into liberated movement without the influence of substances. Just yourself and your moving body.
What to bring:
- A bottle of water
- Clothing that makes you feel comfortable, free and good!
- No drugs or alcohol
- Your dancing shoes (this can also be bare or socked feet)
Just because it's dark, doesn't mean respect and consent don't matter. We won't tolerate any inappropriate or unsafe behavior, and we will ask anyone to leave if needed.
