Hey everyone! Fiona here, and super excited to introduce you to ‘Maungaraupi Country Estate’, our historic boutique hotel nestled near Hunterville in the stunning Rangitīkei region.
This beautiful manor—commissioned in 1906 from architect Charles Natusch built with native rimu, mataī, and tōtara and has been a local cultural treasure since William Swainson Marshall’s day.
This property has seen generations grow, over the years, it has been a place of warmth, laughter and lasting memories. The creative touches of Edith Collier’s paintings inspired by the beautiful landscape and surroundings of this region, capturing the essence of this area.

Today Maungaraupi Country Estate is being put back on the map with support of volunteers from across the globe.
