4 week pottery classes Thursday 10am

4 weeks Handbuilding class

Location : 11 Kotuku Street, Castlecliff, Whanganui
Description This class is for the adults, 16 years plus. You are encouraged to make what you want to make and Fiona will teach you the skills required and guide you in creating your projects. Up to 2kg of clay is provided per student and class and the option to use underglaze to add multiple colours is available at no extra cost. Skills taught are; slab building, coil building and clay molding. Surface decoration and calving can taught as well. It comes down to what you want to make as to what is taught All materials, tools and firings is covered by the fee . This is a fun, social class and everyone is guaranteed to create at least 2 items if you choose to paint them with underglaze but most make 4 or more items. Once items are dry Fiona will fire and glaze them the colours you choose. These classes are held in Fiona's warm Studio and a tea or coffee will be offered.
